Cheese Grits Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. hominy grits (do not use quick cooking)
6 c. boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. buttered bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. paprika
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Preparation

In heavy saucepan, stir grits slowly into boiling water.
Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow grits to cool.
Mix well with beaten eggs.
In greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish, alternate layers of grits and cheese.
Pour milk over top.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and paprika.
Bake in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
Serves 6.
