Spanish Rice With Ham - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 (1 lb.) canned ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (3 c.)
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 (12 oz.) can hot-style vegetable juice cocktail
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. quick cooking rice
Preparation
    In a 3 quart saucepan, cook onions and green peppers in margarine until vegetables are tender, but not brown.
    Stir in cooked
    ham,
    undrained
    tomatoes,
    vegetable
    juice cocktail, sugar and 1/4 cup water.
    Bring to boil.
    Remove from heat and stir
    in
    rice.
    Let
    stand, covered, about 5 minutes or until rice is tender.
