Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising meal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 egg
salt to taste
small amount finely cut onion
enough milk to make batter stiff

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together.
Let stand so onion can go through mixture.
Drop by small spoonful into deep hot grease. They will float.
When done, drain on paper.
Serves 8.
