Sawdust Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) pkg. vanilla wafers
    1 stick margarine, melted
    1/2 gal. butter pecan ice cream
    12 oz. Cool Whip
    caramel or butterscotch topping
Preparation
    Crush vanilla wafers; mix with melted margarine.
    Hold out one cup of crumbs.
    Press the rest of the crumbs in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix partially melted ice cream with the Cool Whip and pour over crust; drizzle topping over top and cover with remaining crumbs. Freeze overnight.
