Beer Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    4 c. hot chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 (16 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz or cube 1 lb. Velveeta
    6 oz. beer (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter. Add flour and blend well. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add hot chicken broth and milk.
    Mix well until smooth and thick. Add cheese.
    Mix until all cheese melts and soup is smooth. Add beer.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Serves 10.
