Quick Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cucumbers
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers into spears.
    Place them in a quart jar.
    Add mustard and celery seeds and onion.
    Bring water to a boil in a small pan.
    Add sugar and vinegar and pour into the jar.
    Let stand 4 to 6 hours before refrigerating.
    Cover.
    Serve cold.
