Peach Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced peaches
    4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix peaches, sugar and salt.
    Stir until well blended.
    Let stand.
    Put in a large, heavy pan.
    Boil rapidly, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
    As mixture becomes thick, reduce heat to reduce splattering.
    Add spices and continue to cook until butter is thick to flake off spoon or approximately 30 to 35 minutes.
