Refrigerator Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. margarine
    3 c. sugar
    5 tsp. soda
    4 c. All-Bran cereal
    5 c. flour
    1 lb. raisins (optional)
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. shredded wheat cereal
Preparation
    Use a large bowl.
    Pour 2 cups boiling water over the shredded wheat and let stand. Cream sugar, shortening and eggs, well beaten.
    Add shredded wheat mixture and other ingredients.
    Let stand 36 hours before using.
    Fill muffin tins slightly over half and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Batter keeps indefinitely in refrigerator.
