Austrian Apple Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. walnuts, chopped (not fine)
2/3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 large eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
2 c. apples, peeled, cored and diced (use 2 kinds of cooking apples to enhance differences in taste)
Preparation

Beat eggs until thick.
Add sugar to eggs slowly, 1/2 cup at a time.
Stir in vanilla.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Stir in flour mixture 1/2 at a time.
Fold in apples. Stir in walnuts.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
