Caramel Oatmeal Chewies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. oats (quick or old fashioned), uncooked
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) margarine, melted
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 (12.5 oz.) jar (1 c.) caramel ice cream topping
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, soda and salt; mix well.
    Stir in margarine. Reserve 1 cup and press remaining onto bottom of pan.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown; cool 10 minutes.
    Top with chocolate pieces.
