Ingredients

3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
dash of salt
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 to 2/3 box vanilla wafers
2 1/2 bananas (medium ripe)
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in the top of a double boiler.
In another bowl, beat egg yolks with 1/2 cup of the milk. When well mixed, add remaining 1 1/2 cups of milk and mix well. Add milk and egg mixture to sugar mixture.
Before starting to cook the pudding, layer your wafers and sliced bananas in a 2-quart casserole.
