Oatmeal Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter or margarine
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. oatmeal
1 whole egg
2 egg whites (save yolks)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. boiling water
Preparation

Cream well butter, white sugar and brown sugar.
Pour 1 1/4 cups boiling water over 1 cup oatmeal.
Add 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites (save yolks) and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Sift together 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Combine creamed mixture and oatmeal; gradually add dry mixture.
Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
When taken from oven, cover with following topping.
