Milky Way Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

8 Milky Ways (10-cent size; ha ha, regular size, not large)
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
2 sticks oleo
4 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Melt candy with 1 stick of butter in top of double boiler. Set aside to cool.
Cream 1 stick butter with sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add flour,
nuts and buttermilk to which soda has been added.
Add vanilla.
Fold in Milky Way mixture.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300\u00b0.
