Beet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. vinegar
    6 c. sugar
    1 peck uncooked beets
Preparation
    Cut tops off beets; cook until tender.
    Peel and cut beets in size wanted.
    Boil vinegar and sugar together.
    Add cooked beets; bring to boil.
    Pack in hot jars; finish filling jar with syrup. Seal; put jars in a 250\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
