Microwave Curried Rice With Almonds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. tight olive oil or butter
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 1/2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. curry powder
    dash of pepper
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 c. hot water
    1/4 c. slivered, toasted almonds*
Preparation
    Put onions and oil into 3-quart casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on High for 2 to 3 minutes. Wash rice briefly in a sieve under cold, running water; drain well.
    Add to onions in a casserole along with rest of ingredients, except almonds. Cover tightly
    and microwave on High for 7 minutes; stir.
    Cover and microwave until liquid is almost absorbed, 8 to 10 minutes longer. Stir. Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
    Stir again and top with almonds.
