Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. melted butter
    pinch of ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Add soda to molasses and let stand for a few minutes.
    Add milk, egg and butter.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Mix well. Pour into 8-inch square greased pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serve with cheese slices or whipped cream.
