American Pierogi Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. large noodles, cooked
    1 large onion, sliced
    6 potatoes, peeled and cooked
    2 Tbsp. butter
    American cheese slices
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter and
    add
    to
    potatoes which have been boiled and drained.
    Mash
    together.
    Butter large casserole dish and add 1/2 of
    the
    noodles.
    Spread
    mashed potato mixture over noodles and top with
    slices of cheese.
    Add rest of noodles and again top with cheese slices.
    Dot with butter; cover.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until cheese melts.
