Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 large eggs, separated
1 Tbsp. butter
pinch of salt
1 1/4 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Scald 1 1/2 cups milk in top of double boiler.
Combine sugar, flour, salt and cornstarch.
Stir in remaining milk and egg yolks.
Stir this flour mixture into hot milk.
Cook until thick.
Remove from heat; add butter, vanilla and 3/4 cup coconut. Allow mixture to cool.
Pour into pie shell; cover with remaining coconut and meringue.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes, until meringue browns lightly.
