Pineapple-Coconut Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 can coconut
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In bowl, at medium speed, cream the butter with 1/4 cup sugar.
    Beat in flour to form a soft dough. Press dough evenly on bottom of casserole and 1/2 inch up sides. Bake until brown, about 15 minutes; let cool.
    Spread pineapple over crust.
    Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar to egg.
    Add melted butter, vanilla and coconut.
    Spread mixture over pineapple.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until brown.
    When cool, cut into squares.
