Banana-Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
2 ripe bananas, cut up
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Lightly grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan; set aside.
Stir flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
Stir thoroughly.
Cream sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs and orange peel; beat well.
Mash banana in a bowl with a fork; stir in milk.
Add flour mixture and banana mixture alternately to cream mixture.
Beat until smooth after each addition.
Fold in nuts.
Pour batter in prepared pan.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
Turn out and cool on a wire rack.
