Lula'S Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 stick oleo or butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. vanilla
5 Tbsp. whiskey
1 qt. pecans (or use 1/2 pecans and 1/2 black walnuts)
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple
1/2 lb. dates, chopped

Preparation

Mix all together and bake
in
greased\ttube
pan for 4 hours at 250\u00b0.
Put a pan of
water over cake and one of water under cake.
