Jeff Davis Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sweet cream
    1 c. butter
    6 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Mix sugar and flour and cream with butter.
    Beat until light and frothy.
    Add eggs.
    Pour into unbaked pastry-lined pan.
    Bake as for custard pie, about 40 minutes, starting with hot oven to set pastry, then reduce heat for remainder of baking time.
    Top with meringue when cool.
