O'Reilly'S St. Patrick'S Day Green Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. fresh spinach
1 stalk (about 14 oz.) broccoli
2 sprigs parsley
1 small stalk celery (with a few leaves)
4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
4 Tbsp. flour
4 c. rich chicken broth
1 c. heavy cream or half and half (less rich)
salt and pepper
Preparation

Wash spinach under cold, running water. Break off and discard coarse stems.
Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
Chop coarsely. Wash broccoli under cold, running water.
Trim off and discard small green leaves on stalk. Coarsely chop top and tender stem.
Wash, dry and chop parsley and celery. Set aside the 4 green preceeding vegetables.
