Spicy Chicken Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. oil
2 onions, diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 green pepper, diced
2 Tbsp. flour
1 (22 oz.) can cooked tomatoes
1 1/2 c. frozen okra
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 to 3 c. cooked chicken, diced
3 c. chicken broth or stock
1 tsp. salt or to taste
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. red pepper
1 bay leaf
1/3 c. fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Preparation

In a stock pot, saute onions, garlic and green pepper in oil. Blend in the flour.
Cook and stir over low heat until vegetables are tender.
Add tomatoes, okra, tomato paste, broth, Worcestershire sauce and all seasonings (except fresh parsley). Simmer for 1 hour.
Add cooked chicken; simmer briefly.
