Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, unbeaten
    3/4 c. white Karo syrup
    3/4 c. broken pecans
    1/4 c. pecan halves
    9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and syrup.
    Beat well.
    Add broken pecans.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Place pecan halves around edge of crust.
    Bake in 450\u00b0 oven 10 minutes.
    Decrease heat to 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
