Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 sticks butter or oleo
1 c. sugar
4 oz. slivered almonds (1 c.)
6 Hershey bars

Preparation

Stir and cook until golden brown (300\u00b0 on thermometer).
Pour on cookie sheet.
Break Hershey bars into pieces and place them on top of the mixture on the cookie sheet.
With a brush, spread out the melted Hershey bars to cover the top of the candy.
Sprinkle pecans on top of chocolate.
Let cool and then break into pieces.
