Seven Minute Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg whites, unbeaten
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 1/2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Combine ingredients and cook in double boiler, beating constantly with hand mixer for 7 minutes.
    Scrape bottom and sides constantly with spoon.
    Icing should be smooth, but stiff.
    Will cover a layer cake generously.
