Squash Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. yellow squash
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. corn meal
    1 medium onion, grated
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Cook squash in boiling water until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and mash. Combine flour, meal, salt and baking powder; stir well. Add squash (should be 1 cup) and onion. Stir well. Drop teaspoons of squash mixture into hot oil. Turn once and cook until golden brown.
