Green Onion And Bacon Mashed Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large baking potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces*
    2 c (8 oz) shredded colby-Monterey Jack cheese
    6 to 8 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
    4 green onions, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, pressed
    1/2 c sour cream
    1/4 c butter, softened
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
Preparation
    *You can use instant potatoes if desired.
