Scones From London, England - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. unsalted butter
    1 beaten egg
    3/4 c. milk
    1/3 c. raisins, dates or cherries
Preparation
    Mix dough.
    Place on floured surface and knead.
    Cut in half. Cut each into 8 pie-shaped pieces.
    Place half cuts on cookie sheet before cutting into 8 pieces.
    Bake for 12 minutes at 425\u00b0.
