Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. raisins
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. margarine
1 c. jam
1 c. chopped nuts
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Cream margarine and brown sugar.
Add egg yolks and beat well; add jam.
Flour the nuts and raisins with 1/4 cup of the flour. Add cocoa and spices to the remaining flour and sift.
