Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
    2 cans (15 oz.) pinto beans
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. tomato ketchup
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
    1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Slice bacon into 1/2 inch strips.
    Saute bacon, onion and garlic for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Drain beans. Combine beans, onion mixture and remaining ingredients in 1-quart casserole.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer.
    Serve beans with barbecued meat or chicken. Makes 4 servings.
