Egg Nog - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 large eggs, separated
1 c. sugar, divided
1 1/2 c. bourbon or to taste
1 qt. heavy cream
freshly grated nutmeg
Preparation

In medium size mixing bowl, beat egg yolks with 2/3 cup sugar until mixture is lemon colored.
Slowly add bourbon, beating constantly.
In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites and remaining sugar until mixture is almost stiff.
Fold bourbon mixture into egg whites.
Whip cream and fold into egg mixture.
Grate fresh nutmeg over top.
Egg nog tastes better if made the day before and refrigerated.
