Spanish Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. Crisco oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix together flour, sugars, cinnamon, salt and oil.
    Remove 1/2 to 1 cup of crumbly mixture and mix with 1/2 cup chopped pecans and save for topping.
