Scalloped Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head cabbage
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2/3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation

Cut cabbage in fine pieces.
Do not shred.
Cook until barely tender in salted water.
Drain.
Prepare white sauce by blending melted shortening, flour and salt.
Stir in milk.
Stir until slightly thickened, then add cheese.
Add sauce to cabbage and pour into a casserole.
Top with crumbs.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
