Hawaiian Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. rich milk or cream
    1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. pecans
    few drops green food coloring
Preparation
    Combine sugar, milk or cream and well drained pineapple. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until mixture reaches the soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add pecans and coloring. Let cool slightly and then beat until creamy.
    Pour into a greased loaf pan.
    Cool and cut into squares.
    Yields 18 squares.
