Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate or Swiss chocolate cake mix
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. water
    1 c. oil
    3 eggs
    1 can sweetened condensed milk, divided
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cut margarine into cake mix.
    Add water, cooking oil, eggs and 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk.
    Pour half of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. While cake bakes, melt caramels and remaining 1/2 can of sweetened condensed milk.
    Stir in pecans; spread over hot cake. Add remaining cake batter; bake another 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
