Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. soft butter (not oleo)
5/8 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Mix butter and sugar together.
Stir in flour.
Mix thoroughly with hands.
Chill dough; roll out 1/3 to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Tops do not brown during baking, nor the shape of cookies change. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
