Perfect Cornbread - cooking recipe

4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/4 soft shortening
Preparation

Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt.\tStir in cornmeal; add

not overbeat.
