Mom'S Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium sweet potatoes
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 stick butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 c. water
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Peel and cut potatoes as for thick French fries.
    Place in an 8 x 12 x 2-inch dish.
    Cover potatoes with sugar and salt. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
    Add pieces of butter.
    Pour lemon juice over mixture.
    Sift flour evenly over the potatoes; stir so flour is barely seen.
    Bake for 1 hour at 400\u00b0.
    Baste frequently with the thick syrup.
