Poor Man'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box raisins
1 c. shortening
2 c. water
3 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. soda
1 c. pecans

Preparation

In a saucepan, cook raisins, water and shortening for 5 minutes over medium heat.
In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix with the raisins.
Pour in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes. This makes a good moist cake that keeps well.
