Cheese Wafers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened (1/2 stick)
1 c. extra sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (about 4 oz.)
1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
pinch of cayenne pepper
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and cheese with a fork, then blend in the flour and cayenne pepper.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
Place on a buttered baking pan and flatten until about 1/4-inch thick.
Bake, uncovered, for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Makes 12 wafers.
