Coopers Famous Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sugar
1 lb. butter, softened to room temperature
6 eggs (room temperature)
1/2 c. milk
4 c. flour (cake flour preferred)
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. nuts and 1 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Mix dry ingredients except sugar together.
Sift 3 times.
Cream butter and sugar mixture.
Beat eggs and then add to butter and sugar mixture.
Using electric mixer, add flour and milk intermittently to butter, eggs and sugar mixture.
Flour should be added as the very last ingredient.
Then add vanilla to the mixture.
Flour and grease round tube pan.
Bake cake to golden brown, about 2 hours.
One cup floured nuts and 1 cup floured raisins may be added to mixture as last ingredients if desired.
