1 pie shell, baked
3 c. milk
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. flour
1/4 stick oleo
3/4 c. flaked coconut
1/8 tsp. salt
3 egg whites
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
Preparation

In a double boiler, place 2 3/4 cups of milk and cook until hot.
In a small bowl, mix flour, cornstarch (you can use 6 tablespoons of flour if you have no cornstarch), the 1/4 cup of milk, sugar, egg yolks and salt; beat well.
Add to hot milk and cook until thick.
Add vanilla, stir and let cool.
Add coconut to cooked custard, holding back a sprinkle.
