"Fresh" Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 frozen pie crust, thawed and baked
    5 or 6 fresh, ripe peaches
    1 c. sugar (1/2 c. NutraSweet for diabetics)
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    5 Tbsp. peach or apricot jello
Preparation
    Peel peaches and slice in bowl.
    Put sugar, water and cornstarch in plastic pan (microwave bowl).
    Cook 1 minute at a time in microwave until thick and clear.
    Add jello.
    Put peaches and jello mixture in crust alternately.
    Use whipped cream or Cool Whip for topping, if desired.
