Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. warm water
    yeast cake
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 level tsp. soda
    heaping 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Heat together milk, sugar and shortening.
    When cool, add yeast cake that has been dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water.
    Add enough flour to make a thin cake dough.
    Let rise 1 hour.
    Add soda, baking powder and salt.
    Sift flour and add to mixture. Work well.
    Put in refrigerator and use as needed.
    When making rolls, let rise 3 hours.
