Baked Pineapple And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. uncooked Golden Acres instant rice
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple slices
    4 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. pineapple juice
Preparation
    Cook rice according to package directions.
    I use crushed pineapple instead of pineapple slices.
    Put 1/3 of rice in bottom of a buttered casserole.
    Cover with 1/2 of pineapple and dot with 1 1/2 tablespoons butter and 1/4 cup brown sugar.
    Repeat with another 1/3 of rice and rest of pineapple.
    Dot with butter and brown sugar.
    Cover with remaining rice.
    Dot with remaining brown sugar and butter.
    Pour pineapple juice over top.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    I bake this in 2 baking dishes and freeze one and it warms in oven good.
    This serves about 6 people.
