Meatball Vegetable Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. dry onion soup mix
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 c. boiling water
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1/4 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
    2 medium onions, quartered
    1 c. sliced celery
Preparation
    Combine meat, bread crumbs, milk, soup mix and pepper.
    Shape into balls.
    Brown in hot oil in large skillet.
    Remove meatballs and drain off excess fat.
    Add tomatoes.
    Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water.
    Add
    1/4 cup cold water and cornstarch and add this slowly to the mixture until it thickens.
    Add
    meatballs, carrots, onion and celery.
    Cover and simmer slowly until vegetables are tender or pour into 2-quart casserole and cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
