Applesauce Fudge Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. canned applesauce
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine chocolate and butter or margarine.
Beat eggs until light and lemon colored; add sugar gradually and continue to beat. Stir in chocolate mixture.
Beat for 1 minute.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
Stir into chocolate mixture.
Stir in applesauce, nuts, raisins and vanilla.
Turn into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Cool in pan on rack.
Cut into 24 bars.
Yields 2 dozen.
