Ingredients

6 cups peeled and chopped figs
1 thinly sliced lemon
3 cups sugar
Preparation

Combine the figs, lemon and sugar in a large pot.
Cook on medium heat until thick, stirring just enough to prevent sticking, for about 1 hour.
Spoon into hot sterilized jars; seal.
Makes 6 - 7 half pints.
